Welcome Back to the 2026–27 School Year!

We are excited to welcome all students and families back to Lassen View. Below are important updates, reminders, and changes for the start of the year.

Campus Fencing & Entry Procedures

To improve safety, new fencing has been installed around campus.

• Morning Entry: The only open doors before school will be the set located between the main office and the cafeteria.

• During the School Day: Once school begins at 8:25 AM, those doors will close. All visitors must enter through the door closest to the main office.

Back-to-School Night — Tuesday, August 11

We look forward to seeing you on campus!

• Two identical classroom presentations: 5:30 PM and 6:00 PM

• All presentations will be held in your child’s classroom

• Middle School presentations will take place in the cafeteria

• Playground supervision will be provided

Drop-Off & Pick-Up Procedures

To keep traffic flowing safely:

• Morning Drop-Off: Please drop students off in front of the gym.

• If You Plan to Park: Use the parking spaces near the bus barns and walk onto campus.

• Afternoon Pick-Up: On minimum days, please arrive after 1:15 PM. Early arrivals cause the car line to back up toward the highway. Arriving after 1:15 ensures students are already dismissed and ready to load quickly.

First Day of School — Wednesday (Minimum Day)

• Grades 1–8: Dismissal at 1:15 PM

• TK & Kindergarten: Dismissal at 12:50 PM every day until November 6 (end of Trimester 1)

TK, Kinder, and New Families: Please join us for a short welcome presentation at 8:30 AM in the cafeteria. Once the attendance bell rings at 8:20, head directly to the cafeteria.

7th Grade TDAP Requirement

All 7th graders must have their TDAP completed or scheduled to start school on Wednesday.

If you still need it:

• Most pharmacies offer walk-in TDAP appointments.

• State audits require us to exclude students who do not have TDAP completed or scheduled.

Beginning-of-Year Paperwork on Aeries

Most required forms are now available digitally on your child’s Aeries account.

Please complete:

• Demographic Information

• Emergency Contacts

• Chromebook/Electronic Use Agreement

• Photo Release

• TK/K Toileting Policy (if applicable)

• Household Income Form

Emergency Contact Reminder: Only adults listed as emergency contacts may pick up your child during the school day.

Household Income Forms — Please Complete

These forms directly impact school funding and help us qualify for additional resources.

Incentive: Families who complete the form by Thursday, August 20 will be entered into a drawing:

Middle School Sports

7th and 8th graders may sign up for:

• Volleyball

• Flag Football

Sign-ups will take place during the first week of school. Practices begin within the first couple of weeks.
