At Lassen View Elementary School District, we are committed to providing every student with the highest quality educational opportunities. Although all students receive breakfast and lunch at no cost through the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), we still need your help by completing the Household Income Form.
This form is not an application for free or reduced-price meals. Instead, it provides important information that helps our district qualify for additional funding through California’s Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF).
LCFF funding is based, in part, on the number of students who meet income eligibility requirements. When eligible families complete the Household Income Form, our district may receive additional state funding that directly benefits our students. These funds help support programs and services such as:
· Academic intervention and tutoring
· Technology and instructional materials
· Counseling and student support services
· College and career readiness programs
· Expanded learning opportunities
· Additional classroom resources and staff
Even if you believe your household may not qualify, we encourage every family to complete and return the form. Every completed form helps ensure our district has accurate information and receives all funding for which it is eligible.
All information provided is confidential and is used only for determining eligibility for educational funding. Your information will not affect your child’s ability to receive free school meals, as all students continue to receive breakfast and lunch at no cost through the Community Eligibility Provision.
